Letter: URI recycling coordinator: new Dumpsters on way to campus

03/12/09 - To the Cigar, When you return from spring break there will be all new trash Dumpsters on the Kingston and Narragansett Bay campuses. URI will end its 11-year relationship with Allied Waste as we begin a new relationship with Waste Management. New dark gray Dumpsters will be brought to the Kingston campus this weekend. Throughout next week they will replace the old ones as they are removed. New recycling totes are on order and will be brought to campus as soon as they are available. Recycling totes will all be charcoal gray with either blue labels for cans & bottles or green labels for paper. Our existing cardboard Dumpsters will be re-painted and all the lids will be replaced as soon as the weather cooperates.
