The American Colligate Hockey Association (ACHA) released their list of women's hockey All-Americans naming three Rams and with the ACHA tournament starting this weekend, it is looking like a monumental week for the team and head coach Beth McCann.

Senior captain Johanna Leskinen, the team's starting forward and focal point, received an All-American honor along with senior forward Meghan Birnie and senior Kayla Robidoux, who plays defense.

Leskinen led her team in goals, finding the back of the net 26 times and was second on the Rams in assists as she registered 17 over the course of the season.

Birnie finished the season with a total of 32 points (14 goals, 18 assists), which gave her the second hoghest points total on the team trailing only behind Leskinen's 43.

Robidoux had a great year on defense, as expected, but also contributed on offense just as well. She had 23 points on the year, which was the most out of any other defensive player on the team. This past year Robidoux had a total of seven goals and 16 assists.

"We still have to get the job done," Leskinen said

The ACHA tournament kicks off in Wooster, Ohio this weekend. The Rams are the No. 3 seed overall, and after winning their conference championship last week, the team has a strong momentum going into the tournament.

"As long as we can keep playing our game we should be able to keep advancing in the tournament," McCann said.

The Rams start the tournament in pool-play on Thursday morning. They will face-off against the University of Michigan, a team that they played once this year and won in a dominant fashion with a score of 10-0.

Following that game will be a matchup against the University of Massachusetts, a team that the Rams beat three of the four times they met this season.

The Rams will wrap up pool-play Friday afternoon against Robert Morris University (Illinois) who beat the Rams earlier in this season 4-2. If the team comes out of pool-play successful they will advance onto the semifinals.
