02/25/09 - President/Vice PresidentMaxwell Adepoju & Amanda Clarke:

Greetings URI, Amanda & I are running for the URI Student Senate Presidential & Vice Presidential seat; and would be honored if you cast your vote for us this election period. Most recently we assumed the positions of Cultural Affairs & SOARC Chair on the student senate, and we have given the position a new light with the help of our outstanding committees. Issues we plan on tackling in the new academic year as President & Vice President are: Campus Programming, Narragansett sticker Ordinance, Campus Accessibility, working with the new URI President, and simply working in the best interest of the student body. Please feel free to contact us at Mr.Adepoju@gmail.com) with any questions, concerns or criticisms. Before you vote remember: "Max Out the Vote"!

David Bedard & Vidhi Shah

David Bedard and Vidhi Shah are both currently juniors at URI. They have served on the Student Senate since first semester of their freshman year. During their time on Senate they have served in many positions. Currently, David is the Vice President and Vidhi is the Treasurer.
David and Vidhi have a full platform they plan to address. This includes working with the new University President, continuing work on the Narragansett Sticker Lawsuit, advocating for Multicultural and Greek students, and transitioning new Club Sports teams without affecting existing teams. They will be the voice of all students to the administration and surrounding community.
David and Vidhi believe they are the most prepared to effectively serve the students of URI, and would greatly appreciate your vote!

On-Campus Representative

My name is Yvens Faustin and I am interested in being re-elected as an On-Campus Representative. My first semester as a senator was a great experience and I look
forward to being more involved and active if I am re-elected. If I am re-elected I would like to get more involved with other organizations and have a voice on campus for the student body. Re-elect me as an On-Campus Representative. Thank you!
Re-running for On-Campus Representative, Rachael Gaudio is a freshmen Biology and Environmental Economics double-major. Rachael served on senate last semester as On-Campus Representative and a member of the Campus Affairs Committee. She loved every minute of it, and hopes to continue for the next year. She is motivated and goal-oriented, and will not rest until the voice of the student body is heard. Vote for Rachael!
Hello, my name is Ronald Bickham II and I am rerunning for On-Campus Representative on the Student Senate. I am a Junior and I am majoring in Computer Science and political Science. I was Vice-President of the Student Senate at Classical High School. I was just elected to the senate last semester. If reelected, I plan to continue my work with the URI bookstore, and try to bring the prices of books down. Thank You.

My name is Joseph Puleo. I ran for the Arts and Sciences seat in the last election and fell short by a few votes, so I'm hoping for your support in this election. I will be a representative who anyone can come to with concerns or ideas they want addressed in the senate. I'll make myself available by providing contact information and holding consistent office hours. Hear/read more on the facebook group or email jpuleo@mail.uri.edu.

My name is Gianna Prata and I am running for the position of On Campus
Representative. I was elected to the Senate last semester and have enjoyed
working alongside other senators to serve the student body here at URI. I am
currently holding the position of On Campus Rep and need your votes to
continue serving on the Senate. Thank you!

Off-Campus Representative

I'm Katherine Holland, a Junior double major in Nursing and Psychology. I was elected as the College of Nursing Representative last spring, and have since been an active member of the URI Student Senate. I have served on SOARC, Finance, and Academic Affairs Committees. I have lived off campus for the past two years, and feel as though I can really represent the off-campus community on the Student Senate.

My name is T.J. Van Fechtmann and I am running as an Off-Campus Representative. I am committed to help better URI for the students in any way that I can. I am an active member of the Greek system. I serve on the Executive Board of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity as the Vice President of Recruitment and will continue to show the same level of commitment and leadership on Student Senate if elected.

My name is Katrina and I am running for Off-Campus Representative. I am currently a sophomore and have lived off-campus for this past year. I was elected on to Student Senate my freshman year and was elected this past year as well. I understand the difficulties that come along with commuting, and I would welcome the opportunity to represent the off-campus community and eliminate those issues. I greatly appreciate your vote.
