04/10/08 - URI Senior Ryan Andersen (with certificate) was awarded the American Society of Military Engineers New York Chapter Outstanding Scholar Prize in a ceremony last month at the University Club. Andersen will be commissioned as an army lieutenant in May and plans to serve as a helicopter pilot. Also pictured are, from left, Associate Dean of Engineering professor George Veyera, Lt. Col.
