03/28/08 - Now that spring has arrived, along with warm weather and sunny skies, you can dust off your TV set and shake off winter's frosty edge by settling down with your favorite television shows. The studio executives have long since acknowledged that the members of the Writer's Guild of America aren't a group of lepers but are actually talented people who deserve some of the money made off of the shows and skits they write.

The networks seem to have chosen April as the month for primetime hits to return to their scheduled timeslots with sets of brand new episodes.

Starting on April 10, NBC will begin showing a string of a reported six new episodes of "The Office," slated in its usual spot of Thursday's at 9 p.m. This is good news as the television world has been absent of its weekly dose of awkward bosses, inter-office relationships and Dwight's vigilante justice.

Also starting on April 10, NBC's "30 Rock" will be coming back with five new (hopefully) hilarious episodes of Tracy Morgan, Tina Fey and the almighty Alec Baldwin in all their SNL-inspired glory. Who could deny a show starring Baldwin? I mean, it's been confirmed that when Baldwin walks into a room all those around him drop and chant "we're not worthy" in the most sincere Wayne's World fashion.

However, it's not all good times and laughs in TV land. ABC's legal drama, the aptly titled "Boston Legal" will be returning April 8 for six episodes. "Boston Legal" features William Shatner of "Priceline" commercial fame, as well as James Spader.

ABC's hit drama "Lost," which has been airing new episodes since January 31, will air five additional episodes starting on April 24.

Also on April 24, "Grey's Anatomy" will run a set of five new episodes. Fox's own medical drama, "House," will air new episodes in a new scheduled slot, starting on April 21. The show will begin six new episodes on Monday nights at 9 p.m.

There are also a bunch of shows that will be returning in the fall, such as "Heroes," "Life," and "Pushing Daisies." Shows such as "Desperate Housewives" and "Everybody Hates Chris" are slated for new episodes but the dates they will air are to be announced.

"Gossip Girl," which was renewed for a new season, will air new episodes starting on April 21, while "My Name is Earl" will air new episodes April 3 and "Scrubs" will return along with "The Office" and "30 Rock" April 10.

So there you have it; now go set your TiVos and watch all of the television you've been deprived of.
