2/1/08 - Decreases in state funding for public higher education are not something new to Rhode Island, but it doesn't make it acceptable. For the University of Rhode Island, the thought that by the year 2024, the university will be without state funding if the decrease continues at the current rate is a disgrace.
2/1/08 - After a long, sexually uneventful winter break, we return to our faithful reader(s) full of pent up stories, frustrations and musings to entertain and titillate. Yes, this is different from our usual format, but this winter break brought up a number of questions that we, your dutiful sex columnists, are obligated to answer with our combined 10 years of sexual experience.
2/1/08 - To the Cigar, During final exams last semester, I found myself studying on the top floor of the University Library in one of the many private enclosed desks. I don't remember which class I was studying for, however that is not the point of this letter.
2/1/08 - To the Cigar, The University of Rhode Island Athletics Department announced yesterday that it would be "replacing" our women's gymnastics team with a women's lacrosse team at the end of this season. As a team, we found this out only about an hour before it was officially announced and were disturbed not only by the news but by the way in which the situation was handled and the weak explanation that we were given.
