11/15/07 - University of Rhode Island President Robert L. Carothers handed some academic deans sample letters of resignation about a week ago, Provost Beverly Swan confirmed yesterday. Yesterday, Carothers confirmed he had handed some deans letters, but refused to discuss their contents.
11/15/07 - The College Democrats and College Republicans squared off on controversial issues such as the removal of habeas corpus for detainees at Guantanamo Bay, the health care crisis in America and gay marriage in a debate last night in the Memorial Union.
11/15/07 - Have you ever cooked a large dinner and not known what to do with the leftovers? University of Rhode Island Dining Services has the same problem every day, but it cooks dinner for thousands of people, and has found several ways to use or dispose of its leftovers.
11/15/07 - Additional training for Housing and Residential Life staff is in order after Wiley Hall residents were forbidden from leaving their residence hall after the Boston Red Sox won the World Series. Yesterday, HRL Director Chip Yensan said a post-athletic event protocol will be added to the HRL staff manual after the Oct. 28 incident.
11/15/07 - Saying it needed more time to grasp a bill that would recognize 62 student groups, the Student Senate committee that introduced the bill pushed back a vote until after Thanksgiving.
