Game demos show strong March lineup for Xbox 360

03/04/09 - One of my favorite features of Xbox Live is the ability to download demos of upcoming games. Right now, a handful of new demos are available and they're all for some big-name games coming out soon. "Halo Wars" is due out March 3 and looks to be a very interesting game from the demo.

Belly laughs, tense social satire combine in URI Theater's production of 'The Foreigner"

03/04/09 - "Re-marrr-kable" is the word that most closely describes the performance of URI's talented cast in their portrayal of Larry Shue's 1980s comedy, "The Foreigner." This play embodies humor similar to that used in "The Beverly Hillbillies," where the aim isn't necessarily plot-heavy, but is predominantly driven by its characters that keep the audience entertained.

Second round of The Fray doesn't pack punch of first

03/04/09 - After the band's first album went double platinum, The Fray, a Denver-based quartet, has finally released its long awaited follow-up, a self-titled album. The Fray's sophomore release picks up where its first album left off, giving us long piano ballads and lyrics that remind and heal us of our broken hearts.

March Entertainment Calendar

March has plenty of interesting events taking place on or around campus. The University of Rhode Island Theatre Company is performing "The Foreigner" six times in the next two weeks, giving students plenty of opportunities to see the comedy.
