12/04/08 - At the official unveiling of Kanye West's new album, 808s and Heartbreak, Kanye spoke about the flak he received for utilizing auto-tune (think T-Pain) to create a pop album rather than another sure-fire rap LP.
12/04/08 - I was pretty unmotivated in my efforts to write a piece about Britney Spears mostly because I had no idea what to write about. And frankly, I was about to pass on this gracious once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But Sunday night, sitting around listening to the cult-like band I'm From Barcelona, the musical shenanigans of the 30-person group slammed me in the face with of thunderous inspiration.
12/04/08 - There really was no way an album titled A Hustlaz Story was going to be a mind blowing lyrical masterpiece, was there? I had hope, but I think the 'z' killed it. The debut album from R&B newcomer KeAnthony definitely isn't an album of surprises.
12/04/08 - Not since Cher has a singer derived as much success from voice technology as T-Pain. As sad as it is to call the man behind "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')" and "I'm N Luv (With a Stripper)" an innovator, it stands that T-Pain introduced a new style into today's mainstream hip-hop scene.
