12/03/08 - A food pantry less than three miles from the University of Rhode Island Kingston campus that serves about 1,000 families received a $12,000 donation from the URI Greek community. The Jonnycake Center provides food and other basic needs to families in the local area.
12/03/08 - Among the usual groups of University of Rhode Island students relaxing at the Memorial Union on Tuesday was a visiting class unlike any other on campus; a group of preschoolers manning a booth at the eighth annual Art Exchange. URI's Child Development Center held the exchange, which featured a variety of projects designed by the students.
12/03/08 - Humans have an obligation and ethical commitment to reduce current carbon dioxide levels, according to professor Robert Socolow of Princeton University. Last night, Socolow, a mechanical and aerospace engineering professor, gave the final lecture of the Honors Fall Colloquium Series in Edwards Auditorium.
