11/21/08 - From the first drop of the puck, University of Rhode Island's Women's hockey team was on the attack against the Huskies. The Rams had many opportunities in the attacking zone, but Northeastern University's defense and goalkeeping kept URI from scoring.
11/21/08 - Jon Biliouris, a senior defenseman, Devin Sheehan, a junior forward and Kyle Krannich, a sophomore forward were selected by their coach to play for the 2009 United States University Select Team for the Winter World University Games. The team will travel to Harbin, China on Feb.
11/21/08 - The University of Rhode Island sailing team edged the United States Naval Academy to earn its 11th victory in Kennedy Cup history on Nov. 9. The Kennedy Cup is sailing's equivalent of a collegiate national championship, and the victory makes URI the winningest team in cup history.
