09/18/08 - There are dozens of resources available to students at the University of Rhode Island who are experiencing all different types of issues, whether they be academic or personal. But perhaps one of the most underused resources on campus is URI Career Services.
09/18/08 - Let me preface this column by saying, always be yourself. If you're taking my advice on what to be or not to be, I think the both of us might need to reexamine this situation. Some of these caricatures are based on my friends, classmates, or people I've met while at URI or at work.

09/18/08 - To the Cigar, Last September the Narragansett sticker policy was changed to a full year policy. This action was conveniently passed the day before school began, leaving few students able to attend. In "modifying" the policy, fines increased, and the eviction and enforcement policies were changed.
09/18/08 - To the Cigar, Congratulations on your editorial yesterday [9/17 - "Retirement option incentive for disaster.] You have correctly identified the consequences of state and university policies that urge faculty to retire and then provide insufficient funding to replace them.
