9/16/08 - The University of Rhode Island's football team faced the Sports Network's 10th ranked New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday, Sept 13, at home in Meade Stadium. The Rams came into the game ready for vindication after being shut out by Fordham the Sunday before, and they certainly put up a good fight.
9/16/08 - The University of Rhode Island men's cross-country team finished in sixth place with 151 points, on Sunday, at the Fairfield Invitational. "This week was a huge improvement from the Trinity Invitational," assistant coach Kyle Poland said. "I felt like this time we raced as opposed to last race we went out there and had to get a feel for all our runners.
9/16/08 - The University of Rhode Island Women's volleyball team won its first match against the University of New Hampshire Friday night at the UNH Invitational, defeating the Wildcats in five sets but losing its last two matches. Junior Caitlyn Welsh continued her outstanding play, leading the team with 15 kills.
