Student seats left unfilled by senate

10/10/07 - As of yesterday, the University of Rhode Island's Student Senate had not appointed students to at least 11 committees where students are supposed to hold seats. Yesterday senate President Neil Leston, who assumed his position in March, acknowledged he could not explain the responsibilities of nine of the committees he is supposed to recommend student representatives for.

Expert in fire forensics offers insight into field

10/10/07 - Dr. Mary Lou Fultz, a forensic chemist from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, was featured last Friday in the Forensic Science Seminar Series held in Pastore Hall. The lecture was aimed at explaining the finer points of evidence collection, preservation and quality, specifically from the scene of a fire or explosion.
