09/26/07 - The University of Rhode Island volleyball team began Atlantic 10 Conference play this weekend, defeating University of North Carolina Charlotte 3-0 but losing to George Washington University 3-0 at home. "This was our most significant win of our season," head coach Bob Schneck said about the match against Charlotte.
09/26/07 - During the Quinnipiac Invitational held in Hamden, Conn. last weekend, the URI women's tennis team looked to leave its mark and did just that. "The goal was to play lots of tennis and get all eight players into multiple singles and doubles matches," said coach Sandy Wood.
09/26/07 - The University of Rhode Island men's tennis team competed in Hanover, N.H. at Dartmouth's Big Green Invitational tournament this weekend. The team faced high competition at the tournament, and left with an overall record of 7-5 in doubles matches and 11-12 in singles.
