09/12/07 - Parties "down-the-line" may be a lot quieter this year due to a stricter "orange sticker" policy unanimously approved last Tuesday by the Narragansett Town Council. The orange stickers, denoting a "party house," will now stay posted on offending houses until May 31, instead of the previous 60-day limit.
09/12/07 - The new Center for Biotechnology and Life Sciences promises to make the University of Rhode Island more cutting-edge once it opens in two years, according to Richard Rhodes, associate dean of the College of Environment and Life Sciences. "It will create an environment for cutting-edge science that will change the lives of Rhode Islanders and the rest of the country," Rhodes said.
09/12/07 - It was a busy weekend for the Narragansett Police as officers charged at least eight University of Rhode Island students with underage possession of alcohol and two with disorderly conduct. The arrests, most of which occurred in Eastward Look, come on the heels of a sweep last weekend that netted 14 URI students for a host of alcohol-related offenses.
