9/26/06 - A line of about 75 giddy concert-goers was lined up outside Edwards Auditorium at 6 p.m., waiting for one man, and one man only: Andrew McMahon. Though McMahon, lead singer of headlining band Jack's Mannequin, was scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m., a group of ticket holders had camped out at 7:30 a.m. just to get a taste of those front row seats.
9/26/06 - In the midst of an average Monday afternoon, University of Rhode Island students heard music blasting from the Multicultural Center. Drawn in by the loud music and flurry of activity, a crowd gathered to watch the Fiesta de Diversidad take place.
9/26/06 - The University of Rhode Island Sailing Club brought students sailing on Saturday as part of its open house event. "It was excellent, despite getting soaked," Derek Brockman, a new club member, said. "It was thrilling to get out in the water." About a dozen potential new members came to the barbecue event at the Sailing Center, on Salt Pond Road in South Kingstown.
