03/23/05 - Legislation introduced in several bodies at the University of Rhode has led to a guarded response by the university's ROTC program. A resolution introduced in the Faculty Senate by Professor John Leo would ban military representatives from recruiting on university property because of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.
03/23/05 - In response to Rhode Island having the highest percentage of traffic-related deaths due to alcohol in the nation, a group of University of Rhode Island students are proposing Rhody Rides, a $66,280 program to provide students with rides home after drinking.
03/23/05 - The University of Rhode Island will submit a request for reimbursement to the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency next week. The paperwork will include a request for compensation for snow removal during the state of emergency that occurred during the winter.
03/23/05 - The North Kingstown Police Department arrested three men, including one University of Rhode Island student, on assault charges after a party last month where a 19-year-old West Greenwich man had to have his spleen removed due to injuries sustained during an incident at the party.
