Letter: Professors thank ALS walk participants

10/23/08 - To the Cigar,Thanks to everyone who participated in Quad Walk 2 in memory of professor Yngve Ramstad. We so far have raised more than $1,400 for the ALS Association.

Special thanks to the student-athletes who walked and contributed more than $350, and to John Pantalone's URI 101 class that walked and helped with publicity.

As the Cigar editorial pointed out, ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) is insidious. Having witnessed it first-hand, we are committed to helping find its cause and cure.
